Nokturno.fi announces an open call for Digital Residencies of 2019! Residency periods extend from two to four weeks in Spring in April-May and in Fall October-November depending on applicant’s working plan. The residence is directed to poets and artists using poetry in their work. Work pairs and groups are also encouraged to apply. We welcome applications from all countries

Nokturno’s Digital Residence is a virtual residency program inviting poets and artists to explore and use digital resources as part of their practise. The resident is provided a virtual gallery/working space at Nokturno.fi, built together with the team of the website, and the opportunity to utilize it in for example:

1. Creating and releasing a new work of poetry in digital format
2. Inviting the visitors of the website to follow one’s practise via digital means
2. Researching a topic related to the intersections and fusions of poetry and the digital world (both academic and artistic research)

The starting date and the exact duration of the residency is open for you to suggest based on your working plan. We provide technical support when needed and there are no requirements for your physical location during the residency period. As a stipend we pay a thousand euros (subject to income tax).
