Call for our Digital Residence in Fall 2018 is also now open.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nature gets closer and slips away in this issue of new poetry. Scottish <b>Michael O&#8217;Brien<\/b> gives us a glimpse of a walk in a park where perception isn\u00b4t what it used to be. The view is strangely altered by technology in the poem <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/three-plants\"><em>Three plants<\/em><\/a>, combining found and conceptual poetry. <strong>Tuija V\u00e4lipakka<\/strong>\u00b4s latest poetry book <em>Uutisia!<\/em> included a series of poems titled <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/hedelmatornit\"><em>Hedelm\u00e4tornit<\/em><\/a>, now released at Nokturno. The series consists of photographs of towers built from various fruits and poetry on creative process and social media, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Darkness is one of the main elements in <strong>Hanna-Mari Ojala<\/strong>\u00b4s video poem <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/kivilattia\"><em>Kivilattia<\/em><\/a>. A figure moves in the darkness and Ojala\u00b4s poetry reaches towards aphoristic tones alongside the disappearing and reappearing figure. <strong>Hiljanharma<\/strong> brings a hint of gothic atmosphere to this issue in her sound poems <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/kaksi-aanirunoa-1\"><em>Tuotuja tiet\u00e4<\/em> and <em>Sanat v\u00e4rityskirjassa<\/em><\/a>, with their dramatic timbres and fateful moments. Taudinkuva just released their new album <em>III<\/em> and Nokturno now presents two poems from the album based on poems by seven Finnish poets. <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/iii\"><em>T\u00e4st\u00e4 talosta<\/em> is based on <strong>Eeva-Maria Grekula<\/strong>\u00b4s poem and <em>Antaisin pois<\/em> in <strong>Henriikka Tavi<\/strong>\u00b4s poem<\/a>. For the next two weeks the whole album is free download Taudinkuva\u00b4s Bandcamp page.<\/p>\n<p>Nokturno is glad to present <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/six-pieces-of-sound-poetry\">six pieces of sound poetry<\/a> born during a course of sound poetry at Uniarts Helsinki. The six sound poetry performances were filmed at the Sound Poetry Night event at Vapaan taiteen tila in May. The artists are <b>Diliana Stoyanova<\/b> and <b>Reetta-Stiina Rannanm\u00e4ki<\/b>, <b>Zane Perkone<\/b> together with <b>Minna Miettil\u00e4<\/b>, <b>Harold Hejazi<\/b>, <b>Pavel Rotts<\/b>, <b>Ignacio Lopez Olivares and Riku-Pekka Kellokoski<\/b> and <b>Stephen Webb<\/b> together with <b>Daniela Pascual Esparza<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>After five issues our essay series on <strong>Arto Kyt\u00f6honka<\/strong>, pioneer in Finnish digital poetry, now reaches its end with an essay on Kyt\u00f6honka\u00b4s mail art. In <a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/monitaiteilija-kohtasi-kulttikaljun-arto-kytohongan-postitaide\"><i>Monitaiteilija kohtasi kulttikaljun <\/i><\/a><i><a href=\"http:\/\/nokturno.fi\/poem\/monitaiteilija-kohtasi-kulttikaljun-arto-kytohongan-postitaide\">\u2013 Arto Kyt\u00f6hongan postitaide<\/a> <\/i><i>e<\/i>ditor of the series, <strong>Heikki Saure<\/strong>, writes about Kyt\u00f6honka\u00b4s mail art and the reception of the art form in it\u00b4s early days in Finland.<\/p>\n<p>Are you interested in working in a virtual residence?
